Battery → Battery health shows the health and capacity readings available from your car. The card is part of the one-time battery-health unlock. Confirm the car identity and pack choice before interpreting derived comparisons.
Check the source below the health ring. “From BMS” means a directly reported SOH reading. “From Ah” means Leaf Pro has estimated SOH by comparing reported Ah with a new-pack reference because a direct SOH reading is not yet available. That fallback depends on the selected pack; it is not a second independent measurement.
SOH: reported state of health
State of health is the battery controller’s estimate of capacity relative to its reference condition. It is not the percentage of charge available for today’s trip, and it is not a prediction that a certain percentage of the battery’s useful life remains. A controller estimate can change as the car updates its assessment.
Compare readings over time under reasonably similar conditions. A screenshot without a date, model, charge state or context is a weak basis for a purchase decision. Use SOH as one part of a wider view that includes the cells and recorded behaviour.
Hx: keep it in context
Hx is a separate battery-controller indicator often discussed in relation to conductance or resistance. Its meaning and calibration are not sufficiently clear to turn one universal cutoff into a diagnosis. Leaf Pro reports the value; it does not make Hx interchangeable with SOH or a direct measurement in ohms.
Ah: charge capacity, not energy
Amp-hours measure charge. Kilowatt-hours measure energy. Do not compare a raw Ah value from one pack design with a different pack’s value and assume the larger number means a healthier car. Pack size, voltage and the model’s reference values matter.
When a value deserves investigation
A health reading becomes more useful when paired with cell voltages, temperatures and a recorded assessment. Unexpected rapid change, repeated unusual cell behaviour or real driving symptoms deserve a qualified inspection. The app is a source of evidence, not an official warranty test.
