1. Who operates this website
This website is operated by GK Micro Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 08099992, with registered office at 2 Brampton Close, Kirkby, Liverpool, England, L32 1BD. We are responsible for personal information processed for the purposes described here. Contact admin@leaf-pro.com. For the mobile app, read the app privacy policy.
2. Browsing and security information
When you visit, the hosting server and Cloudflare services that deliver and protect the site receive technical request information. This can include IP address, requested URL, browser/user-agent information, referring page, request time and security events. We use this to serve pages, maintain reliability, investigate errors and protect against abuse.
The website uses WordPress. Administrators who log in have separate authentication and security cookies. Public visitors do not need a user account to read articles or guides.
3. Search and the calculator
A site-wide search sends the words you enter in the page URL so WordPress can return results. Search terms may therefore appear in ordinary server logs. Do not enter passwords, sensitive personal information or vehicle identifiers into a public site search.
The handbook’s quick filter operates in your browser. The charging-cost calculator also calculates in your browser and does not submit its inputs to our server. Neither is a contact form or a request for a quote.
4. Correspondence
If you email admin@leaf-pro.com, we receive your email address, message and anything you attach. We use that information to respond, provide support and keep an appropriate record. Review attachments for personal information first. The website does not currently offer a newsletter signup or public comments.
5. Cookies and similar technology
The current site design does not add advertising pixels, behavioural analytics, externally hosted web fonts or embedded social/video trackers. WordPress login functions and Cloudflare security services may use cookies or similar technologies where needed for authentication or protection. Cloudflare’s exact security behaviour can depend on the request and its configuration; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We do not treat continued browsing as consent to optional tracking. If non-essential storage or access is introduced, we will provide the necessary information and obtain a choice where the law requires it before activation. Browser controls can remove or block cookies, but blocking necessary cookies may affect login or security checks.
6. Why we process it
Our legitimate interests are operating a reliable public website, keeping it secure and answering enquiries, balanced against your privacy interests. Processing may also be necessary to take steps you request before a contract, perform a service contract, comply with legal duties or establish and defend claims. Optional marketing would require its own appropriate basis and any required consent; an ordinary support email does not subscribe you to marketing.
7. Providers and external links
Website delivery involves our hosting provider and Cloudflare. Correspondence also involves the relevant email provider. People maintaining the site may access necessary information for that work. We may disclose information where legally required, to professional advisers, or in a lawful business transfer with appropriate protections.
Clicking an external link takes you to a different provider, which receives ordinary connection information and may apply its own cookies and policy. A source citation is not an endorsement of that provider’s privacy practices. No external source needs to be opened merely to read our article.
Our service providers may process information in the United Kingdom, the EEA, the United States and other locations in their service networks. Where we are responsible for a restricted international transfer, the law requires an applicable adequacy arrangement, appropriate contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another valid legal mechanism. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data. A link to a provider’s policy does not replace our own obligations.
Some adapter links are Amazon affiliate links, marked beside the recommendation. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Following a link sends you to Amazon with our affiliate tracking tag; Amazon may use its own cookies and process referral and purchase information under its privacy notice. We do not receive your payment-card details from these links. Merely reading a recommendation does not load an Amazon embed or tracking pixel on this website.
8. How long information is kept
Technical logs are retained for operational troubleshooting, security and proportionate abuse investigation. Correspondence is kept while an enquiry remains relevant and for an appropriate follow-up or claim period. Legal or accounting duties may require certain records to be held longer. Retention decisions consider the original purpose, sensitivity, outstanding disputes and legal requirements. Backups may retain information until their normal replacement cycle; they are not used to restore deleted information to routine use without a valid reason.
9. Your rights
Depending on the law and the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it; that does not invalidate earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions, including legal recordkeeping and the establishment, exercise or defence of claims.
Send requests to admin@leaf-pro.com. We may request proportionate information to verify identity and locate the record. We respond within the applicable legal time limit, normally one month for UK GDPR requests, subject to permitted extensions. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or your relevant local supervisory authority. You do not have to contact us first.
10. Security and updates
We take proportionate measures to secure the site and limit access, but internet transmission cannot be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send passwords or payment-card data by email. We may revise this policy as the site changes; the date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be explained where required.
