Go to Settings → Electricity & charging cost. Enter the price per kWh and the currency you want displayed. The initial value is a placeholder seeded by the app; it is not a live tariff lookup. Replace it with your own rate, including taxes or other per-kWh costs that you want included.
Set charging efficiency
Charging efficiency describes the share of wall energy that reaches the battery. A value of 85% means 15% is lost on the way, not that losses are 85%. Leaf Pro seeds an 85% starting assumption. Your charger, charge rate, temperature and accounting method may give a different result.
For a drive using 10 kWh at the battery, an 85% assumption estimates 10 ÷ 0.85 = 11.76 kWh from the wall. At 0.25 per kWh, that is about 2.94 in your currency. This example excludes standing charges and does not claim to be your actual bill.
Compare another car
Settings → Cost vs petrol/diesel/LPG lets you choose a fuel type and enter its price and efficiency. A separate profile is kept for each fuel. The comparison appears when a fuel type is selected and its necessary values are present.
Use a measured real-world fuel figure for the other car if you have one. A laboratory fuel-consumption figure compared with a winter EV commute is not a fair cost comparison. The comparison concerns energy or fuel cost, not finance, insurance, tyres, depreciation or maintenance.
Understand costs on saved journeys
Cost displays apply the app’s current settings to recorded energy and distance. They are estimates, not immutable receipts proving the tariff at the time of each trip. If you need accounting records, retain the relevant meter totals, tariffs and dates separately.
