The current Service screen contains VSP pedestrian-sound controls for supported 2013-and-newer vehicles: drive-start, driving, reverse and vehicle-start sounds. Availability depends on the car. The underlying requests come from community technical work, not a promise of Nissan approval.
Why the screen is guarded
Open Settings → Service functions to read the warning. Vehicle writes are disabled at each app launch and need a separate service switch. Acknowledging the warning is not a guarantee that a command is safe for your exact ECU, adapter or firmware.
Keep safety and the law first
Pedestrian warning sounds are safety-related and may be legally required. Do not disable a required warning system for public-road use. If you do not know whether a change is appropriate and lawful for your car and location, leave the setting alone and consult a qualified professional.
Service changes should only be considered with the car parked, not driving or charging, and with a stable connection and adequate 12 V supply. An interrupted or unsupported write can affect the car and require specialist recovery. Never use a service toggle as a connection test.
What the app does not offer
Leaf Pro does not currently provide general DTC reading or clearing, TPMS relearning, broad BCM comfort programming, or a battery-health reset. Do not buy an unlock expecting those functions. Normal monitoring and recording do not require opening the service screen.
If something goes wrong
Stop further changes, record the exact action and any vehicle warning, and seek appropriate assistance. Do not repeatedly retry a write or drive a vehicle with an unresolved safety warning. The terms explain intended use and responsibility without overriding statutory rights.
