Identify the point of failure
There are three separate links: phone to adapter, adapter to vehicle, and the app decoding a supported reply. “Not found”, “connected but no data” and “one missing value” therefore need different checks. Write down the actual message before changing settings.
The adapter does not appear
- Confirm it is powered and seated correctly while the car is parked.
- Check the exact connection type. Classic-only dongles do not work with iPhone in Leaf Pro.
- Enable the phone’s Bluetooth and the app’s required permissions.
- Close any other diagnostic app using the adapter.
- Scan again from the Adapter page. For Wi-Fi, join the network instead of scanning for Bluetooth.
It connects but no readings arrive
A radio connection can succeed while the vehicle is asleep or the adapter does not support the necessary commands. Check the car power state, adapter instructions and any error in the adapter console. Confirm the model family under Settings → Car. Do not make service writes as a connection test.
It keeps disconnecting
Check whether the problem occurs only when the phone locks, when the app goes into the background, or when the car is switched off. Those point to different causes. Review reconnect settings and background permissions. For Wi-Fi, make sure the phone has not left the adapter network.
Only one value is missing
Use the missing-readings guide. ECU capabilities differ, especially on earlier models. A working SOH reading and a blank tyre tile can be a legitimate combination.
Give support a reproducible report
Send the phone and OS version, app version, Leaf year and family, adapter model and firmware if known, radio type and exact sequence. A diagnostic report is helpful if reviewed for personal information first. Email admin@leaf-pro.com or use in-app Help.
